Centre for Blue Economy Africa

Unlocking Africa's Ocean Potential Through Policy, Innovation & Investment

A Pan-African policy think tank working with governments, investors, and communities to develop sustainable ocean-based economic opportunities across Africa's 38,000 km coastline. We provide data-driven policy advisory, project development, and investment facilitation for the blue economy sector.

Our Mission: Policy-Driven Blue Economy Development

Africa's ocean economy could generate $405 billion annually by 2030, creating 56 million jobs across sustainable fisheries, maritime transport, renewable energy, and coastal tourism. Yet 90% of this potential remains untapped due to weak governance frameworks and limited investment.

CBEA works with governments, IMLI-trained legal experts, and investors to create enabling policy environments, bankable project pipelines, and data-driven decision-making tools for sustainable blue economy growth.
